Urban Community Development (UCD) Program
Urban Social Development Program is running for establishing quality life and caring society of the urban people in Bangladesh. The main objectives of this program is to provide skill development training, micro-credit program, social awareness, coordination among the voluntary organizations, enhance the underprivileged and neglected people of the urban community.
Presently, this program is running in 80 (Eighty) units considering all over the city corporations, district head quarters and some urban areas of the country.
Vision: Livelihood Development and establishing caring society for the low income people of the urban areas.
Mission: Socio-economic empowerment and livelihood development with the coordination of government and non-government organization for the underprivileged and neglected people of the urban community.

With the approval of the Bangladesh Technical Board, the skill development training centers of the Urban Social Services Offices in 80 (Eighty) centers have been transferred as an institution.
Training programs are being arranged in 20 (Twenty) different trades having 6 (Six) months duration course (January-June and July-December) and 3 (Three) months duration course (January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December) considering 360 (Three hundred and Sixty) hours per batch.
Skill development training:
Purpose-
(1) creation of appropriate employment opportunities by providing appropriate skill development training to the youth to ensure sustainable economic growth;
(2) institutional training to engage the young community of the country in suitable occupations; And
(3) Creating young entrepreneurs.
Interest free microfinance activities
For smooth and successful implementation of Urban Social Development (UCD) activities, each city social service office will have a committee called ‘Urban Social Development Activities Implementation Committee’ (UCDPIC). This committee will implement the loan activities in accordance with the policy of rural social service activities.
